The NCHS Senior Internship Program is a valuable opportunity that connects academic learning with real-world experience. We are reaching out to our NCHS families and community members to assist us in connecting with potential host sites, including your own. We’re particularly looking to increase opportunities in areas of strong interest, including computer science, finance, healthcare sciences, and law. If you know of any businesses or organizations that might be interested in hosting an intern or if your workplace could benefit from the support of an intern, please contact Kelly DelMazio,, Senior Internship Coordinator, (203) 594-4752 or kelly.delmazio@ncps-k12.org. Registration is open now through November 3rd.
Calling All Young Builders!
Do you keep finding Legos underfoot? Back for its fourth year, the New Canaan Museum’s Builder’s Challenge is asking all budding architects, engineers and builders to recreate their favorite real or imagined New Canaan spot in interlocking blocks (such as Lego or MegaBloks bricks). Kids’ creations will be displayed in local store windows throughout the month of October to celebrate New Canaan’s October4Design celebrating architecture, art, community and design. Come to the New Canaan Museum to sign up and receive a free baseplate to get you started – one per family please! For more information, please visit us HERE or call the NCM&HS at 203-966-1776 ext 103.
Help Us Build Waveny Playground Brick By Brick!
Friends of Waveny Playground is excited to announce our fundraising campaign for an all-abilities play space located in Waveny Park! We are asking the community to show support for this incredible endeavor that will benefit our children for years to come. This is a unique opportunity for your family's name to be displayed on a brick via the Legacy Walkway or on our Waveny Playground Welcome Sign. Visit our website to view brick options and make a purchase. For Welcome Sign opportunities or to ask any questions, email ncwavenyplayground@gmail.com.
