Tech Tips for 4th Graders Transitioning to 5th!
As the school year winds down, many 4th grade parents are beginning to think about the transition to 5th grade. This shift can mean a change in schools, busier schedules and more independence which introduces the need for increased communication. As a result, it can be an inflection point when children may start asking for phones, watches or other means of digital communication. Check out New Canaan Unplugged's newsletter outlining some alternatives to giving your rising 5th grader a smartphone and how the benefits of holding off can be felt for years afterwards.

New Canaan Pops in the Park
New Canaan Pops in the Park, featuring the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, is returning to Waveny Park on June 7th, 6-8PM! This year's concert, "America 250!," will highlight American music and composers. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and come enjoy a beautiful evening of music. All proceeds support the reconstruction of the aging roofing system of both our historic main house and cottage. The Homestead is a treasured place for historical education and enjoyment, and hosts a wide range of events
intended to bring history to life for all ages.

Cooking & Crafting Summer Workshops with Jane Mossa of the Pink Rhubarb
Three One Week Sessions: Monday-Thursday, 9:30am-Noon
June 22-25 / June 29-July 2 / July 6-9
Each week kids ages 4-13 will come together to make & create while fostering a love for cooking, creativity and developing confidence. Jane Mossa of The Pink Rhubarb will lead activities and cooking projects such as making strawberry rhubarb jam, flower bouquets, painted aprons, and exploring Waveny Park together. Each week is unique and offers new and exciting foods to prepare and crafts to make.
We have amazing helping hands and room to share ideas and make delicious food together!

New Canaan 250th Celebration: 4th of July Fireworks at Waveny Park, July 4, 2026. Gates open 5PM. Rain dates: July 5 & 11. The New Canaan 4th of July Fireworks Committee is proud to celebrate with the community during New Canaan’s 250th anniversary year. Important updates: the fireworks launch platform has moved farther from Lapham Rd., allowing vehicles to exit both directions for improved traffic flow & faster departures. These fun and engaging camps led by experienced music educators teach acting skills, movement, how to bring characters to life and develop stage presence while building confidence. Students will learn and perform songs, scenes and dances in small break out groups and one large group altogether to create a show.
Themed daily art projects will include prop decorating and designing poster boards, followed by movement activities & fun games. This session ends with a performance for family & friends on Friday at 2pm!

Try Anyway Creative Writing Summer Camps (Grades 1-7) – Now Registering!
Calling all creative kids in Grades 1-7!
Join award-winning filmmaker and comedy writer Claire Ayoub (Empire Waist, Amy Poehler's Smart Girls) for a series of week-long summer camps in Creative Writing, Screenwriting, and Directing.
Capped at 10 students per camp, Claire’s joyful programming is designed to give students hands-on creative experience, as well as practical skills to battle perfectionism and self-doubt. When in doubt, Try Anyway!
Camps meet on Mondays-Fridays from July 13th-August 21st at the New Canaan Racquet Club. Grades 1-3 meet in the morning (10-11:30 AM) and Grades 4-7 meet in the afternoons (2-3:30 PM).

Booster Club Basketball Camps
Coach Melzer, Coach T, and the members of the New Canaan High School Boys Basketball Team are excited to welcome you to NC Hoops Camp this summer! Join us for a great opportunity to learn the game, develop your skills, compete, and have a lot of fun along the way.

Artistic Swimming Summer Camp
Get ready to have a great time in the pool this summer while experiencing the captivating world of artistic swimming! New Canaan Aquianas is pleased to offer three two‑week camp sessions this summer to introduce young swimmers to this beautiful and fun sport:
Session 1: July 6–17, Monday–Friday, 12:00–2:30 PM
Session 2: July 20–31, Monday–Friday, 12:00–2:30 PM
Session 3: August 3–14, Monday–Friday, 12:00–2:30 PM
All sessions will be held at the Wilton YMCA (404 Danbury Rd, Wilton, CT 06897), and the cost is $800 per session.

Ram Camp for Rising 3rd-8th Graders
The High School football staff is proud to share with you our Annual Ram Football Camp! Head Coach Lou Marinelli and his staff are excited to share the NC football brand of up tempo offense and swarming defense. This is an opportunity for your child to get coached by the varsity coaches and players while enjoying a challenging and positive camp experience.

Location: Water Tower Turf Field 1
Cost: $250
No equipment is needed for this camp. Wear cleats and bring a well labeled water bottle.
